Administration & Communications Coordinator - The Sport Australia Hall of Fame

Established in 1985, The Sport Australia Hall of Fame (SAHOF) is the most prestigious sporting institution in the country, honouring over 170 years of Australian sporting achievements.

The Annual SAHOF Awards Program and the associated Gala Dinner, is widely regarded as Australian sport's "Night of Nights", and is the marquee event of the organisation amongst other events and programs being established moving forward.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Administration & Communications Coordinator will work closely with and provide high level support to the CEO and Operations Manager along with the high profile Board of Directors and relevant Committee and Working Groups in the development and delivery of SAHOF’S key activities.

This is no ordinary administration/communications role. In addition to managing and maintaining the day-to-day office admin tasks, the role will manage the esteemed Scholarship & Mentoring Program as well as all external communications including the website, bi-annual magazine, social media and Electronic Digital Marketing (EDM) /E-News, ensuring the company’s unique written voice and style is crafted consistently across all platforms.

Working in a small, highly focused team, this is a diverse and at times complex role that will suit a process driven, self-starter who is an exceptional administrator with creative flair and the ability to write for various mediums and audiences.  You must be comfortable conversing with a various range of stakeholders including high profile sportspeople and dignitaries, whilst providing outstanding service to all Members. A tenacious attention to detail and ability to handle multiple and varied tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment is essential.

To be successful in this role you will be experienced in a similarly complex role, ideally from within a dynamic and fast paced not for profit or sporting organisation. An understanding of the Australian sporting industry and passion for Australian sport, both historical and current is essential, as is the ability get involved within the small team structure, to roll up your sleeves and pitch in as and when required.
