Funded jointly by the Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council this new event will be organised in partnership with the international and national sports federations for each of the participating sports. The Glasgow 2018 European Championships will allow Glasgow and Scotland to continue to build on the economic, cultural and sporting legacy achieved by staging the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

The 12-day programme will see Glasgow and Scotland host the European Championships for Aquatics, Cycling, Gymnastics, Rowing and Triathlon as well as a new Team Golf event. Berlin will host Athletics completing the line-up for this first edition of the European Championships.
