UK Anti-Doping is the national organisation dedicated to protecting a culture of clean sport. Every day we are raising awareness of the issues through our extensive education and testing programme. As well as helping athletes to understand and follow the rules, we also prosecute offenders. Ultimately we are working for everyone who loves sport whether competing, training or spectating. Together we are creating a level playing field where all athletes know they can compete fairly and in the true spirit of sport.
With a view to commence in early 2017, Chaperones are required to act as an independent worker on behalf of UK Anti-Doping (UKAD). As a Chaperone you will be responsible for the notification of Athletes selected for an anti-doping test, chaperoning of selected Athletes to the Doping Control Station (DCS), witnessing urine sample provision and the completion of administration duties in accordance with the UKAD Doping Control Handbook.
UK Anti-Doping would welcome applications from the following regions across the United Kingdom;
- North East and Yorkshire
- North West
- Greater London
- South West and Wales
Successful applicants will have the following experience and skills:
- Sensitivity, understanding and calmness under pressure
- Ability to carry out detailed administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Proven ability to work with confidential information
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Sound judgement and decision-making capability
- Ability to use own initiative within a procedural framework
- Conflict management skills in a stressful environment
- Organisational skills for people and activities
