Job Description

Since 2013, the Singapore-based Infront Pan-Asia provides a centralised hub for sports marketing in the leading Asian economies outside China – including Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.

As exclusive partner to the Badminton World Federation, Infront Pan-Asia handles centralised media and sponsorship rights of the BWF Major Events (Sudirman Cup, Thomas & Uber Cup Finals and the World Championships) and for a revamped BWF Series – encompassing the current BWF World Superseries and Grand Prix Gold events – to be relaunched for the 2018 season.

Commercial Operations Manager

With a strong passion for sports. This full-time position is immediately available and located at our Office in Singapore. The new role offers an exciting career opportunity with one of the most successful sports marketing agencies.

Scope of Work:

  • Responsible for the effective delivery of all sponsorship and partner rights at the highest possible international standard and in accordance with the signed contracts and LOC agreements
  • Planning:  conducting site visits, Budget Management and development of Event Management plan including creation of Event Manuals
  • Rights holder liaison:  working closely with the Client Services Manager and be the key point of contact with the Rights holder, Local Organising Committees (LOC) and Sponsors  from an event delivery perspective
  • Attending regular planning meetings and workshops with Rights Holder, LOC and Venue meetings
  • Sponsor and Event Signage / Branding/ Activation: liaison with contractors and suppliers to ensure that the design, production and placement of all agreed event signage is implemented. Supporting approved sponsor activation on-site
  • Logistics: ensure the smooth delivery and transportation of any event equipment and sponsor product (including custom clearance)
  • Supporting Client Service Manager on relevant sponsor and partner activities on-site at events
  • Support the coordination of Sponsor Ticketing, Sponsor Display, On-site activation
  • Coordination  of Transportation, Hotel and other relevant sponsor & partner logistics
  • Significant International Travel

Your profile:

  • Advanced education (university/bachelor degree)
  • 5-7 years of experience in the sports (or entertainment) media and/or research industry
  • Proven experience in the planning, management and execution of major sports events, major sponsor activation campaigns or other related event operations roles
  • Outstanding planning, event management organisational skills
  • Sound budget planning and management
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain key relationships (at varying levels)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Microsoft CRM
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in Asian languages an added advantage
  • Strong attitude towards high quality, excellence in delivery and ‘client-first’ thinking (external & internal)
  • Strong team spirit, Highly motivated and passionate
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
