To deliver against this inspiring goal we are changing how we work and investing heavily to create a team of exceptional people capable of creating winning England teams. Over the next 3 years we are building the team at our world-class training facilities at St George’s Park in Staffordshire.
You will support the delivery of a world leading performance analysis and insight service to either the Men’s or Women’s England teams across our pathway The scope of the department is broad and exciting and will include qualitative & quantitative tactical analysis, individual & positional technical analysis (including biomechanics), skill acquisition, data analysis and visualisation of team and opposition performance.
As an analyst you will assist in the development of an opposition analysis framework to deliver consistent and effective insights to support England’s quest for success at the highest level. You’ll also help us develop robust metrics for the England playing style and philosophy research and innovate through assisting the delivery of key internal and external research projects.
As an off field coach you have skills to provide constructive challenge and support to coaches in the development and delivery of their game plans, as well as delivering to players in individual, unit and team coaching situations.
You will be personable and develop highly effective working relationships with National Coaches and support staff and assist with long term planning. You will enjoy delivering high quality feedback, insights, and learning resources to individuals, units and staff often placed under time pressures on the road with the team for all allocated events.
You will be a knowledgeable performance analyst with extensive experience at the highest level in an elite or professional sports environment. Your energy and positivity will be evident, as will your good planning skills and personal resilience. You will have a track record of success throughout your career always delivering great results. Educated to degree level in a sports science or performance analysis related subject, you will have a high level knowledge of and proficiency in the use of sports analysis systems and technologies.
A good relationship builder you enjoy working with different groups of people within a multi-disciplinary environment. Good communication will evident in all forms, allowing you to get your message across clearly at all times. You are relentless in your pursuit of providing the highest quality service, applying a problem solving, innovative approach to getting the job done.
You will be comfortable and effective in a high performance culture, have high standards and take ownership of your own learning and development. Whether you have worked in football or not, you have the necessary skills to work as part of a vibrant new team, contributing to its vision and plans and adding real value to the coaching staff and players whether on the road or in the office.
