British Swimming, the National Governing Body for Swimming, is seeking a Head Coach to join the World Class Programmes Swimming team.  The purpose of the post is to drive technical leadership and coaching performance standards in Britain and to lead the development and implementation of training and competition plans that will result in podium performances at the highest level of international competition.

Directly responsible for coach development and mentoring, the British Head Coach role will instil a culture of best practice, continuous improvement and “no compromise”. He or she will improve strategies to achieve performance outcomes and will also be accountable for the implementation of integrated individual Podium athlete performance plans.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of coaching - achieving superior results in high performance swimming at World and Olympic level. A record of success in planning and delivering coach development and mentoring programmes is critical. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in finding effective solutions for high-performance related issues, will be a persuasive influencer with strong relationship building skills. The role requires experience planning and implementing a complex programme of work within agreed timelines. Well developed media and presentation skills are also essential.

A sound knowledge of the British high performance system would be useful.
