Job description:
• Leading the marketing and selling of media, sponsorship and related rights to sports events in the
Asia-Pacific region (excl. China)
• Leading the implementation of all rights support related matters
• Overall responsibility for, and leading of additional sales and administration staff
• Implementing strategy in relation to the Company’s business plan
• Overall responsibility for coordinating and preparing the Company budget in line with Group
directives
• Management of and responsibility for annual revenue targets
• Initiation and development of new client relationships and business
• Overall profit and loss responsibility for the Company
Requirements
• University degree or specialized professional qualification (sports marketing, business,
administration, law or similar)
• Minimum 5-8 years’ relevant experience in sports and/or media industry
• Broad experience of the sports marketing/media sales experience in Asia
• Well established network of contacts within sport and media
• In depth knowledge of JAPAC/APAC media market
• Full understanding of the media business and challenges within the industry
• Excellent sales ability and skills necessary to negotiate rights-in and rights-out contracts
• In depth sports marketing knowledge
• Clear understanding of research methods and their use
• Strong ability to interact with international broadcasters and rights holders at senior level
• Excellent communication and administration skills
• Strong attitude towards high quality, excellence in delivery and ‘client-first’ thinking (external & internal)
