Full Job Description

FFA and the AIS are seeking applicants for the joint positions of Head Coach of the Australian Women’s National Football Team (“The Matildas”) and Head Coach of the AIS Women’s Football Program.


The position is a full time coaching position, based at the FFA Headquarters in Sydney with regular visits to Canberra for training camps and other AIS activities. The term of the appointment will be from 1 January 2013 through until the end of The Matildas campaign for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games.

Applicants need to hold a current UEFA or AFC (or equivalent) Pro License, or if they are Australian-based, need to be enrolled in the AFC/ FFA Pro License course. Experience in coaching football at an international level is essential, and experience in coaching women’s football and knowledge of football in Asia are highly desirable.
