Ahead of the Sports Summit 2016 event on the 24th-25th May, we look back on this interview with Emma Boggis, CEO of the Sport and Recreation Alliance, the event's organiser, to reflect on and absorb her career experience and find out what advice she has to offer those looking to forge a career in the sports industry.
The Sports Summit 2016 will this year focus on how the sport and recreation sector measures, collects and analyses data to develop and communicate its customer proposition.
Taking place on 25 May at the Kia Oval, the Summit will bring together leaders from across sport and the commercial sectors.
This year’s theme focuses on Evidencing Impact and Using Data.
With the release of the Government’s Sports Strategy and with Sport England currently consulting on its own strategy, there are significant changes and proposals coming up that will shape how the sector captures and uses data in the future.
